Kash, who did his SSC from Sister Nivedita English School and intermediate from Alphors Junior College, in Karimnagar couldn't have asked for a better 18th birthday gift when his father who lives in the States asked him to come live with him. "Just before my 18th birthday, dad wanted me to come right away. While I was still at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, I got a call from John Casablanca's modelling and acting school telling me that they have accepted my application. Then I took classes to brush up on my skills and got ready to participate in 'Run up to the Runway', a huge annual event at Milwaukee.
While auditioning for the event I received lots of applause from many designers during the practice sessions and got selected," he says. Kash feels his modelling dreams couldn't have come true if it wasn't for the support he received from family and friends.
Kash, who is currently studying at Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin, says his family and friends are extremely proud of his achievement. "This is what truly inspires me to do my best." After graduation, he wants to pursue modelling and is waiting for a dream offer from either Tollywood, Bollywood or Hollywood. When asked what he has to say about many people like cricketer Dhoni making it big from small towns, he says, "I think the world is finally starting to see the beautiful and unique people we have in India. Karimnagar has produced many freedom fighters, national leaders and our contribution in the field of academics is great. I want to put Karimnagar on the international map and I am very proud of the fact that my ancestral place is Karimnagar." |
